All our nucleus colonies of bees include good quality frames, British Buckfast mated queen and a high quality wooden hive box with metal lined roof, crown board and mouseguard. We can also provide bees in a correx box if you prefer, but we recommend that you buy a colony in one of our excellent professionally made wooden hive nuc box. The wooden hive box can be used for a number of years - for making artificial swarms and can be used as an excellent aid for collecting swarms.Please note that as from 2014 all our nucs will have 3 frames of brood in different stages and 2 frames of stores - so it is essential that you have your hive/hives ready for the arrival of each nuc from us.Over-Wintered Nucs on National, 14x12 or Commercial frames will be ready end April beginning May - Limited availability.
